PLEDGING

Our annual MARCH PLEDGE DRIVE is here! A pledge is a promise of financial support for your congregation. We fund our congregation through pledges of support from each of us, the members and friends of the congregation. Every year we have this opportunity to put love in action by making our promise to financially support the congregation.

The Finance Committee develops a proposed budget for the July – June fiscal year, based on the sum of the pledges made in March.  The Board of Trustees reviews and approves a final proposed budget. The congregation votes on the proposed budget in June.

We ask everyone to pledge, regardless of the amount; all gifts are precious and valued.

We are a member/friend-funded congregation.
To support the work of our UU faith, make your pledge today.

Am I required to pledge?

Our covenant affirms that we will “generously support the ministries of the church with time, money, and enthusiasm.” Our Bylaws define a member with these words: “Any person who supports the purposes of the congregation and recognizes and understands the need of the congregation for support through financial contributions and active participation.”

A pledge of financial support is part of our shared covenant with those who are part of this community through membership or friendship.

May I volunteer instead of pledging?

Pledging is essential to the financial well-being of our congregation. With pledges, we keep our doors open and fund the ministries and operations of our congregation.

There are many other ways to also contribute to our congregation; giving the gift of your time and talent by participating in a group or committee that furthers our ministries, serving in a leadership role, and making a one-time monetary donation. The gifts of time and financial support both make this congregation powerful and sustainable. Click here to learn about the many ways to be stewards of our congregation.
