GET INVOLVED: Spotlight on The Arts

Art has the power to move us!

“In a church my soul cries out for all the artistic vehicles: poetry, music, song, visual, architectural, color, dance and fire.”     – Elizabeth Breeden

During the month of January we are highlighting the opportunity to serve through the arts. Whether it’s joining your voice with others in song or bringing visual art to the sanctuary, the arts can reach us in unfathomable ways. Read on to learn how you can contribute through music, song and the visual arts.

Adult Choir

No musical experience required! The Adult Choir rehearses every Thursday evening from 7:30 pm to 8:45 pm, August through May. No audition, just come to a rehearsal. The choir sings at Sunday services twice a month.

Children’s Choir

All children ages 6 and up are welcome! The children express themselves through song, become more confident and learn the value of serving our congregation. The Children’s Choir rehearses Sunday mornings during the school year from 11:45 am to 12:15 pm and performs 4 to 5 times a year.

Arts Committee

You will be part of a group that curates visual art for the sanctuary, schedules the art installation and plans the artist’s receptions the first Sunday of the month. This committee meets by email!
