Factoids from UUppity Women
The UUppity Women give and receive from our church community in equal measure. It gives us great satisfaction to put on the Elders’ Dinner every year. In 2010 we served 55 elders plus their table hosts, up from 38 the year before. It is our privilege to host receptions for family and friends of our deceased members following memorial services. Another of our roles in our church community is providing woman power for the yard sale and assistance with the service auctions.
The most fun for me, personally, is hosting and attending auction dinners. It is a great way to meet people and make new TJMC connections while supporting the church financially. A real win-win.
