When are the labyrinths at TJMC available for walking?

TJMC-UU is blessed with three labyrinths. Available daily during daylight hours is our permanent outdoor Santa Rosa labyrinth; available one weekend most months is our indoor 11-circuit Chartes-style canvas labyrinth; and available for outreach is our 7-circuit classical concentric 'versatile' labyrinth.

Many find the experience of walking the labyrinth offers an opportunity for meditation, prayer, or contemplation. Some walk routinely as part of their spiritual discipline, others to note special occasions or to reflect on specific questions/concerns. All visitors are welcome. Walks on the indoor 11-circuit Chartres-style canvas labyrinth are conducted on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings, usually on the fourth weekend of the month. The Friday evening walk is from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and the Saturday morning walk is from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. To confirm these times and dates, especially during inclement weather, please call the church office at (434) 293-8179.

Join us on December 31st from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. for a New Year's Eve labyrinth walk. Set your intentions for the New Year, or reflect and meditate on 2007. Live music will be provided by Suzanne Morris playing the hammered dulcimer.
