Ministerial Search Update: The announcement *is* coming!
While all of Charlottesville waited for “the bagels” in the 80’s (and again in the 90’s and the 00’s), Brian Fox insisted on getting it right before opening the doors to each of his new Bodo’s. Your search committee shares that determination. We have only a few steps left, but they are important ones. In our best-case scenario, committee chair Nick Laiacona makes the call to our first-choice candidate this Monday and hears a yes. He then calls board president Pam Philips with the committee’s recommendation. The negotiation team works with the board and the candidate to finalize the ministerial letter of agreement. Once the letter is signed by the board president and the candidate, we can share our good news. Keep us and our candidates in your thoughts and prayers in the next few days, please be patient, and maybe enjoy some bagels, too. There is no good alternative to getting it right.
