WANTED: PASTORAL VISITORS CO-CHAIR
We provide a confidential, caring presence to congregants undergoing stressful life challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Arrange for Visitors to make visits to private homes, nursing homes and hospitals as requested.
- Help recruit new members.
- Assist with training of members.
- Keep all information confidential.
- Meet monthly with Ministers to assess “cases”.
- Convene monthly meetings with Pastoral Visitors committee members.
Amount of Time Required
A. Two monthly meetings-one with Ministers and one with the group of Visitors (about an hour to 1.5 hours per meeting). Sometimes an additional hour/week.
B. Assist as necessary with annual training & quarterly in-services.
Term of service: two years beginning August 2012 (with participation in the program starting right away at the level of “Visitor”. Training provided).
Qualifications: organizational skills and enthusiasm for the program. Access to a computer and email. Compassion for those in difficulty. Listening skills (we will teach you this). Good personal boundaries.

WANTED: COVENANT GROUP PROGRAM REGISTRAR
Responsibilities:
1. Revise as needed the Covenant Group brochure and registration forms (both hard copy and web based).
2. Publicize the Covenant Group registration process through internal communication channels such as the monthly Bulletin, This Sunday order of service inserts, tabling in the Social Hall after Sunday worship services etc.
3. Coordinate the registration process to connect people with covenant groups.
4. Maintain a current list of participants in the covenant group program throughout the program year
Term of service: one year beginning in mid-July
Qualifications: access to a computer and email; organizational skills and enthusiasm for the covenant group program
