Greetings from the Ministerial Search Committee! August 2010
Please take a moment, while you are at church, to have a look at the Ministerial Search Committee Bulletin Board located across from the Church Office and next to the Mail Room. There you will see who we are, as well as updated notices as to our progress. We will also post updates in the TJMC Monthly Bulletins and the Friday Emails as we enter into the fall.
We have begun our work and have been meeting almost weekly. Our first order of business was to connect with one another and to determine our respective roles on the Committee. To that end, we spent an evening with Anne Clark after each of us completed the Jungian Typology Test (Myers-Briggs) where she interpreted our tests for us and gave us some insights into the various personality types. This was helpful in guiding our decisions as to the roles each of us will play as we move forward.
We will now set about to review previous documents and to edit them appropriately for our purposes. We will also review congregational input from last year and decide whether or not it is necessary to augment that information. We feel extremely fortunate to have such a wealth of good information and documents already and will endeavor to use it wisely. We are excited about our mission and eager to get on with our job!
