Communications Summit Oct. 1, 2011, 9-1

The Communications Committee is looking for your input!  We have general oversight for internal and external communications at our church, including the monthly Bulletin, the Friday email, the Sunday Order of Service announcements, and the bulletin boards ar church.  We work closely with the Web Committee to keep the church’s website up-to-date, and we provide administration for the church’s Facebook group.  We funnel contributions into WVTF public radio in Roanoke to underwrite programming.  The responsibility for these publications lies with only a few people in our church community, but they touch us all.  The Communications Summit is your opportunity to give us feedback on how we’re doing, envision a future, and plot a course to get there.

Unlike other retreats, we are not asking you to serve on the committee, or to commit any time beyond the Summit.  We are looking for the widest possible input and exchange of ideas, so that Communications at TJMC can reach and reflect all the diversity of our congregation.
