Wendy Steeves

Wendy Steeves is the first face you are likely to see when you visit the church office at TJMC-UU. She has worked as our Office Assistant for over three years now and loves being part of a community that makes the world a better place. She holds a B.A. in Rhetoric and Communications from the University of Virginia and enjoys producing and editing the TJMC Monthly Bulletin and Weekly Update, as well as bringing a compassionate presence to the church office.  Her prior work experience was in the Washington, D.C. association world as well as in the private sector. After spending time in Tanzania on a mission trip in 2012, she felt called to a new path in life and is currently in discernment for ordained ministry. She is enrolled in the Spiritual Guidance Program at the Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation and serves as a lay minister and lay preacher at Buck Mountain Episcopal Church in Earlysville. She helps her family as a consultant for wine-making and communications at her family’s boutique vineyard in Greene County.  She and her husband, Chris, love living in the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains with their energetic Sproodle (Springer-Poodle), Auger.
