Caroline Heins has worked as the part-time Religious Education assistant at TJMC-UU for 3 years. She loves teaching and has various freelance teaching positions in Charlottesville, including children’s aerobics and dance at ACAC as well as science for Bricks 4 Kidz and Carter Mountain Orchard.
Before coming to TJMC-UU, Caroline worked as a non-profit organizer and grant writer/manager in Charlottesville focusing on transportation equality and social issues. She has a degree in Environmental Thought and Policy from the University of Virginia.
Caroline has a husband (David) and 2 kids (Conrad, age 11, and Corrina, almost 2). She also has a large, goofy, white German Shepard (Halley) and two cats (Squirrel and Lucky). The Heins family has lived in downtown Charlottesville for more than 10 years.
