August 28, 2016: Being a People of Peace

Read the Order of Service

Our monthly themes are not abstract or randomly-selected topics. Rather, in each month we are asked to consider various attributes of Unitarian Universalism, to consider what it means to say that Unitarian Universalists are a particular kind of people — by the ways we relate to each other, by the ways we relate to the wider world (including the natural world), by the commitments we make, by the values we affirm. So … what does it mean to say that we Unitarian Universalists are a “people of peace”?

NOTE: Sunday, September 4th, is our annual Water Communion service as we gather together after the summer. Please remember to bring a small container of water from somewhere – or that symbolizes somewhere – that you’ve been this summer. We will still have only one service, at 10:00.
